Every great athlete falls down a few times. Yes, every great does. But what makes them great is that they get back up again.
You might have even fell off your bike and scraped your knee, but you got back up again.
I'm not just talking about pros. I'm talking about everyone from pee-wee to pros. They do what they love because of the game.
It takes courage to step into a ring, or a cage, or onto a field, or diamond, or the ice. It takes even greater courage to continue on even in the face of defeat. Yes, you win some, and you lose some. Losing sucks, but we learn and we gain skills.
Everyone thought McGregor was foolish for getting into the ring with Mayweather. I have to say he had guts. He lasted longer than people thought and it wasn't his sport. Props to him for putting himself out there.
On top of that, props to the champ. Mayweather is old in the reality of sports and yet, he still got it. He rocked his age and showed that he was still someone to contend with.
It goes to show that even when the chips are down, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You might lose today, whether it's a game, a match, at love., but tomorrow is another day. Yes, I just quoted Gone with The Wind.
Never give up, never quit.
