On a bed of Roses….
For tonight I sleep on a bed of nails. Yes, sing it Bret Michaels. Oh wait, that was Bon Jovi. Either way, it’s a strong ballad and a classic. It was released at a time where some were worrying about what dress to wear to prom. Where to go for their senior trip. Others were worrying about what color hula hoop to use at recess. Good times. And then we grow up.
Let’s end this two parter on a good note.
I know what I talked about last post was a little hard to take. It might have sounded negative.
I’m not trying to sound that way.
People that come into our lives, good or bad, shape us into who we are. We can follow the wrong path and let those that had negative impacts on our lives and spiral downward. Or we can take the positive side and learn from it all.
You are stronger than those that have let you down or put you down. In my case I won’t let them dull my sparkle. I at times have been at an all time low, but I have pulled myself out of that dark hole. I have done things others haven’t or can’t. You can do the same. You are stronger than you think you are. You are unique, you are youer than you. Yes, I quoted Dr. Suess. He writes some great stuff.
I have said before I believe everyone can benefit from talking to a professional. It doesn’t make you crazy, but it’s good to have someone that will listen and not judge. If we all took an hour a week to let out whatever is inside, oh what a wonderful world this would be.
By the way, this is like the wall in Paris where people leave padlocks for their loved ones.
Never let anyone tell you that you are less than you are. Be strong, smile, and walk with your head high. Everyone on this Earth has a place in society, even those in jail. They just haven’t realized their potential yet.
Every one of you has potential to do something great. Don’t ever let anyone take that from you. One day one of you will be the next Einstein, the next Katy Perry, the next President. Oh what a wonderful world that will be. You should be proud. Until then it’s ok to belt out hair band ballads.
I want to lay you down on a bed of roses, for tonight I sleep on a bed of nails………..
Sing it, girl.
