Listen up

This is not a political post. You can take this as it is or not. I have strong beliefs and opinions. I tend to keep them to myself, but I had to get this off my chest.

The question is how can you help others if you can’t help yourself? You can’t. I grew up with morals and values. I’m not perfect. No one is, well maybe Mother Teresa. But the rest of us are sinners in our own way. And those that think they can get away with shady business or lies throughout the week and then go to church and think that they are free of responsibility are wrong. That’s not how this works, not how any of this works.

History lesson: Republicans and Democrats were once one party. I can see both sides of the coin. And while we disagree on things, the one thing we can agree on is that we all want what’s best for America. We just have different roads we take to get there. But we have to fix America before we can fix other countries. Yes, I went to war along with my brothers and sisters, so you could go to work, or on a date, or to a game, or a movie. And I would do it again if it meant everyone back home could continue on with their lives.

But when something happens and it’s right in front of our face we’d rather try to ignore it. When the attacks happened in Manchester and on the London Bridge, the news said ISIS took responsibility for it and yet, some of you choose to ignore that. I get it, not all Muslims are ISIS, not all black people are thugs, not all cops are corrupted, not all white people are racist. We all judge even when we shouldn’t. I’m guilty of it. But knowing that what one does, doesn’t define the rest of them.

That being said. The attacks that have been happening will only stop when the other Muslims start speaking up and making it known that they don’t agree with what the others are doing. Saudi Arabia has done just that. I don’t have anything against Qatar, but if they are funding terrorists then it’s time to cut ties. The BLM riots that get out of hand will only stop when other black people speak up. The white racist groups will not go away until we speak up about how it’s wrong. No, this isn’t a political post. I just think that we all want the same thing and it’s time to come together.
